Chalk Lane is a very remote country road located next to Epsom Downs. This would be great as a shooting location as the setting contains typical features seen within the thriller genre. Very remote, lots of trees (unable to see anything/suspense build up), and very dark again emphasizing the lack of visuals.
The Highway, Sutton
This is a more urban choice of location, yet it is still as effective. One of the genres main features is to build suspense, and this can be achieved filming here. Also, leaving clues and keeping the audience interested is another convention and with this choise of location there is a lot of space to experiment with ideas.
